Grid filters

This article describes how to use Grid filters in your Grid.

Updated over 8 months ago

As a recap, Grids are a way to segment travel data into one spot for use in reporting, analytics, or accounting or to create a travel 'project' for specific travel data.

Grid filters are a feature within a Grid that allows the user to filter specific data they wish to see within that Grid.

Adding filters to your data in a Grid is a breeze. Once you've created a Grid, click the blue 'Filter applied' button at the top right of the Grid to search for and add filters.

There are two different types of filters that you can apply:

  1. Travel Filters: Travel data filters (i.e., people, travel dates, flights, identifiers)

  2. Profile Filters: Tags or Groups.

Applying filters will limit the travel data you see in your Grid.

IMPORTANT:

Initially, all travel data you send into your Grid utilizing the Grid Address will be tagged for that Grid. In other words, if you send in reservations using the Grid Address and then open your Filters, the first filter will be "Grid is [Grid name]." If you then add filters to limit data already tagged as in that Grid, some travel data may disappear from that Grid.

Unless you are trying to filter precise data from all data you have sent into a specific Grid using a Grid address, I would leave off any filters except the Grid tag at the top. This will ensure all data you send into the Grid using the address appears in the Grid.

Deleting Grid Filters:

If you wish to remove filters, simply option the Filter box and click on the "X" to the right of the filter to delete that filter. If you accidentally delete all filters you may see a large number of travel reservation data in your Grid as you have removed even the Grid tag from your filters.
