People
The People page is where you can add traveler profiles to your account. The number of profiles you can create and store in Tripgrid is unlimited; however, remember that currently, there is no programmatic path to deleting or archiving a profile once it has been created and saved.
Sorting Profiles
On this page, you can sort profiles by name, job title, and origin; click on the column headers to sort.
Searching Profiles
To search for a specific profile, start typing the traveler's first or last name, and those travelers will appear; you can then add them to a project.
Creating Traveler Profiles
You can create new profiles from this page or within a project simply by clicking the 'Add Traveler' option (top toolbar).
Start by clicking on 'Add Traveler' and then adding the traveler's first, middle, and last name to the 'Add new traveler' modal. You can check the' Not applicable' box if you do not know (or the traveler does not have) a middle name. Enter the traveler's Email (required) and optional Job Title before selecting 'Create Profile.'
You can click 'Edit Personal Details' from the profile or email the traveler for this information.
Once you have completed editing and filled in all required information, click 'Save Changes' to save your edits. Once you create your new profile, select the back arrow (top right) to return to the 'People' page.
Required Information
Keep in mind that there are several pieces of information required to save a profile; these are:
First Name
Middle Name (or click the check box next to "Not applicable")
Last Name
Sex (as shown on passport)
Date of Birth (as shown on passport)
Work email (traveler email)
Contact Number (traveler phone)
Origin (origin city airport)
Question: Why does Tripgrid require an Origin?
Answer: Tripgrid was built to organize group travel for travelers from different locations. Adding your traveler's origin in the profile will auto-fill that field in your projects.
Once you complete the required basic information, click save at the bottom of the page and click the 'back arrow' button at the top left.
You can complete the rest of the profiles' sections: Travel Preferences, Loyalty Memberships, Settings & Policies, and Travel Documents.
Travel Preferences
While creating your traveler's profile, you can add traveler preferences, including preferred airline, seat preference, and dietary preference. All of the information within this section needs to be passed through during booking; we are working to have this added to the booking soon.
Loyalty Memberships
You can add as many traveler loyalty program numbers to a traveler's profile as you want by clicking 'Add' at the top right, choosing the airline from a drop-down menu, and adding the Membership number. These numbers will get passed through during booking and applied to the traveler's programs. Once you are done adding, click 'Save Changes' and click on the return arrow (top left) to return to the profile and the project.
Travel Documents: Adding a Passport
You can add Traveler travel documents at the bottom of the Profile. Search for 'Travel Documents' and click Edit.
Complete the information within and click Save Changes.
When adding the travel document information to this section, please use the 2-character country code for the "Country of Issue" and the "Country of Residence." Using three characters may result in the data not passing through to ticketing. Once you have completed this section, you can click Save Changes. Use the back arrow button at the top right to exit the screen.
Lastly, you can edit a traveler's profile at any time from the People page ('Travelers' menu) or within a project by clicking on the traveler icon to the left of their name.
Deleting a Profile
There is no way to delete or archive a traveler profile from within the Tripgrid booking platform. If you need a profile deleted, please email support@tripgrid.com. We will remove the profile from all systems and confirm when it is complete.
