Flights:
Q. Can I research flight options without creating traveler profiles?
A. Unfortunately, you will need to upload or build out profiles with at least basic information, such as name, birthdate, and origin city. Tripgrid’s project-based group-booking concept relies on traveler profiles in the system.
Q. Can I search one-way or round-trip?
A. Yes, you can search both one-way flights and round-trip flights for each flight.
Q. Can I add multiple flights for one traveler?
A. Yes, you can add as many flights as you wish; each flight will be labeled (Flight 1, Flight 2, etc). You can also delete those same flight additions if you have not yet secured a flight.
Account Page:
The Account Page contains information about the customer and its users. It is where you can reset your password.
Q: Can I update the company's information on the Account page?
A. This page is currently uneditable. You can submit a request to Customer Support, and we will make the necessary changes and send you a confirmation.
Q: Can I remove administrators from my account on the booking platform?
A. No, users cannot edit any data on the account page. Please inform customer support and submit a ticket to remove those administrators you'd like to remove.
Profiles:
The People Page is where Profiles are housed. Once you have added profiles to Tripgrid Booking, you can edit those here. There is a search bar to find specific travelers, or you can sort by name.
Q. Can I create new profiles here?
A. Yes, clicking "Add Traveler" will take you to an "Add new traveler" modal where you can type in the initial details (name, email, job title), which will create the initial profile. See "Creating New Traveler Profiles" within the Help Desk Articles.
Q. I need more information for a traveler for their profile. How can I send this to them to complete?
A. You will need to enter the initial data as in the question above to begin building the profile. Once started, you can click "Email Traveler For This Info," which will send a live link to the traveler's email address for them to provide the necessary information. Once completed, it will auto-fill those fields in the profile.
Q. What information is required in a Traveler Profile?
A. You will need the traveler's first, middle, and last name. If they do not have a middle name, you can click the "Not applicable" button to exclude. You will also need the Traveler's sex as shown on their passport, the Traveler's date of birth in the specified format, a valid contact email and phone number, and the Traveler's origin (their home airport).
Q. Do I need a project created to add a traveler profile to a new project?
A. No, not necessarily, but it is the common path. If you find yourself in the People Page and want to add a Profile to a new Project, click "Add" and then "Add to Project" at the bottom. Since you did not create a project first, it will prompt you to create a new one or choose from a list of existing projects.
Projects:
The Project Page is the page you come to after you have created a project, added your destination airport code, and added initial travelers.
Q. Can I add travelers once I have created a project?
A. Yes, you can add as many travelers as you'd like by clicking on the "Add Travelers" button, top right. You will be taken to the "Add Travelers" page, where you can find and choose which traveler to add. Once you've clicked "Add", click "Add to Project" at the bottom, then click the "View Project" button within the flag to return to the Project Page.
Q. Can I add multiple flights for one traveler?
A. Yes, you can add as many flights as you wish (these are called Flight Cards; each Flight Card will be labeled Flight 1, Flight 2, etc.). You can change the name of the flight if you wish. You can also delete those same flight additions if you have not yet secured a flight.
Q. Can I change the Origin and Departure locations within the traveler's "Flight Card"?
A. Yes, as long as you have not yet completed a search, even if you have, you can delete the search (See Deleting a Search within the Help Desk Articles) and then change the parameters of the empty flight card, or delete the card itself.
Q. If I delete a project from the booking platform, can I recover it?
A. No. Once deleted, the project is removed from our database and cannot be retrieved. Be cautious when using this feature; a message will appear asking if you wish to delete it, or you can press ‘Never mind’ to keep the project.
Q. Can I archive projects so they don’t appear on my dashboard but still retrieve them later?
A. No, not at this time. We will introduce this feature in the future. For now, the only way to remove an old project from your dashboard is to delete it.
Q. Can I change the colors of the traveler's small icon within the Project Page or on their Profile?
A. No. Not at the current time.
Booking:
Q. I misspelled the name of my traveler in their profile and submitted the booking. If I update the profile, will it automatically update the booking?
A. No, you will need to cancel that booking immediately and create a new one with the updated or corrected profile. If you cancel the booking within 24 hours, you will receive a full refund, minus the Tripgrid booking fee.
Q. What is the difference between the Record Locator and the Confirmation #?
A. The Record Locator is a six-character code provided after a booking has been submitted to the GDS (Global Distribution System). In contrast, the Confirmation # is the reservation's ticket number provided by the ticketing system. When contacting your Travel Management Company (TMC) or the airline via the web or phone, please reference the confirmation number.
