Launch the Quick Add Menu
If you are unable to add your travel data automatically through integrations or via email parsing, the last option is to add travel data manually.
To begin the process, you can either click the "Build Travel" button and select the type of travel you would like to add or the "Add [travel type]" button in the bottom left corner of the table.
Adding from within a grid view will launch the quick add modal with the grid's tag to associate it with the grid view.
Quick Add for Segmented Trips
The quick add modal looks slightly different for segmented travel. Discover the various types of travel data.
Segmented travel types enable users to manage individual segments or legs that comprise the larger travel object.
On the left side, under "Trip Details," the parent travel object's fields are listed for viewing and editing. In the middle, under "Legs", click the individual segment selector to display the field values for that segment on the right for viewing and editing. Click "Add Leg" to add additional segments or delete a segment by clicking the X icon to the right of the segment selector.
Quick Add for Non-Segmented Trips
Non-segmented travel data has a single form to contain all fields.
Autofill Behaviors
The quick add modal features several autofill behaviors designed to expedite manual entry and enhance the quality of the entered values.
Flights
Tripgrid leverages FlightStats data to find commercial flights based on a user-provided departure date, commercial airline, and flight number. If a match is found and selected, the quick add modal will load the times and location data for the flight.
Locations & Addresses
Business names for accommodations, car rentals, transfers, and events will attempt to fill in other fields, such as phone numbers and addresses, if they can find that information via Google Maps.
