Flight Statuses

This article will discuss the booking statuses you see regarding your booked flights in your project and those same statuses in the booking details.

Process of Flight Statuses after Booking

Following the purchase of your flights, you have the option of returning to your project page or view the booking details of each flight. If you choose to return to your project page you will see all of your travelers listed with the status "Booked-Pending".

What does "Booked-Pending" mean? It means your ticketing request has been accepted by the GDS (Global Distribution System), which is an entity that displays flight options as a hub for airlines, and has forwarded the request to the airline for final ticketing. Along with a Status of Booked-Pending, you will see a 6-character code in your booking details called a Record Locator. This is primarily useful for ticketing agent troubleshooting.

Once that request has been accepted, the status will change to "Ticketed". This means that the airline has accepted the booking, the payment information has been processed, and a ticket has been issued. This can take up to 30 minutes, but will typically take about 10 minutes, depending on the number of flights.

Once your flight status changes to "Ticketed," you can open the Booking Details to view the Airline Confirmation Number. This is the 6-character code that ticketing agents use to look up the ticket in their system. If a seat is chosen for the traveler, you will see that displayed as well.
