Managing Tag Groups

Updated over 4 years ago

The Tripgrid platform allows users to create relationships between different travel data types via tag groups.

A tag group could represent something like a department or project that is applicable to multiple types of travel data. By creating and applying a tagging system, users can view their travel data in different orientations for a specific purpose.

In addition to creating relationships between different data types using tag groups, users can create custom fields for individual travel data types,

User Requirements:

Please note that the authenticated user must be an administrator of your workspace to take the actions listed below.

Open Tag Group Editor

After signing into the Tripgrid workspace as an administrator, click the settings button on the left sidebar to open the settings page

Scroll to the "Tag Groups" section and select the editor for "Configure Tags"

Adding a New Tag Group

After opening the Configure Tags editor, click the "+ New Tag Group" button on the top right

Enter the name and select the type. Add options and click "Save" to update the tag group list. The list should update with the new tag group.

Editing an Existing Tag Group

To edit an existing tag group, click the dropdown input containing the tag group type. You can change the group name, type or options. To commit the change click "Save".

Reordering Tag Groups

The vertical tag group list placement dictates the order in which the tag group will appear in the table columns of the dashboard and grid view.

To change the order, click and hold the drag icon on the left side of the tag group container and release on the desired location in the list.

Hiding Tag Groups

Hiding a tag group removes it from the columns list for the tables. To hide a tag group column, click the blue eye icon.

To unhide, click the icon once more. The blue eye icon means the tag group is currently visible, the red eye icon with a strikethrough means the group is hidden.
